MagnoliaTablescape late winter
There is a magnolia tree in my street that blooms before all the others. It's one of those all encompassing of the front facade trees that hits you with the creamiest smell even a few houses down. I contacted my friend Billie only 2 days before and asked if she wanted to do a photoshoot in Sydney's inner-west and she was down. We cut down the branches in the freezing cold and raining evening - which honestly was fun!
I wanted to create something juxtaposing in design. The soft magnolia placed with Australian native grasses. This whole shoot was also as sustainable as I could possibly make it. All ingredients were locally grown within 5km radius, foraged or from my mirco-farm. No plastic wrapping, and definitely no floral foam.
